Ihr Selbstwertgef\u00fchl leidet massiv unter den inneren und \u00e4u\u00dferen Wunden, die oft \u00fcber Monate nicht abklingen. Nur zu gern w\u00fcrde sie Freund*innen treffen und auf Partys gehen, doch weder ihr k\u00f6rperlicher noch ihr psychischer Zustand erlauben es.<\/p>\n<p>Vor zwei Jahren allerdings \u00e4ndert sich die Situation schlagartig: Den Forscher*innen von young.hope gelingt es, ein Medikament zu finden, das eigentlich f\u00fcr Typ-II-Diabetes gedacht ist \u2013 aber auch bei Maria Erfolge zeigt. Abszesse, st\u00e4ndige Erk\u00e4ltungen und lange Spitalsaufenthalte geh\u00f6ren der Vergangenheit an.
