Use of cookies

To enable you to use the SALK website without restriction, we use so-called “cookies”. Cookies are small files that enable us to recognise the user and analyse your use of our website. A randomly generated unique identification number is stored in these files. In addition, a cookie contains information about its origin and the storage period. Cookies cannot access, read or modify any other data on your computer. The cookies set by SALK do not pose any risk to your computer system as they do not cause any damage and do not contain any viruses or similar. Most cookies on this website are automatically deleted (session cookies). At the same time, SALK also uses permanent cookies to recognise you when you visit the SALK website again. You can delete these permanent cookies manually in your browser at any time.

We use Matomo as our website analytics software. We collect data about website visitors using cookies. The information collected includes, for example, the visitor’s IP address, operating system, browser ID, browsing activity and other information. We calculate metrics such as bounce rate, page views, sessions and the like to understand how our website/app is used.

We may also build visitor profiles based on browsing history to analyse visitor behaviour, display personalised content and run online campaigns. We host our Matomo solution in the Matomo Cloud on a server within the EU, and store the data for 13 months.

Purpose of data processing: Analytics and conversion tracking based on your consent. Legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR. Neither we nor Matomo do not share the data about you with other sub-processors or third parties and do not use it for our own purposes.

We use the “Google Maps” component of Google Inc, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”) on our site.

Each time the “Google Maps” component is called up, Google sets a cookie in order to process user settings and data when displaying the page on which the “Google Maps” component is integrated. As a rule, this cookie is not deleted by closing the browser, but expires after a certain time, unless you manually delete it beforehand.

If you do not agree to this processing of your data, you have the option of deactivating the “Google Maps” service and thus preventing the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the Java Script function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use the “Google Maps” component, or only to a limited extent.

The scope and purpose of this data collection, the further processing and use of the data by “Google” itself and the use of “Google Maps” and the information obtained via “Google Maps” can be found in Google’s data protection information and the Google terms of use.
